Using the Library search applications will help you get to the resources you need. Library tools are configured to provide authorized users with access, even while off-campus. Users will be required to enter their University NetID and password to authenticate and gain access to electronic resources.
The Library offers additional tools for accessing electronic resources such as LibKey Nomad, Open Athens, and can integrate with Google Scholar.
When off-campus, certain resources and applications require a Virtual Private Network, or VPN, connection.
VPN (Virtual Private Network)The Office of Information Technology provides step-by-step instructions on connecting to the VPN.
GlobalProtect VPNThe GlobalProtect VPN does not allow access to PUL electronic resources, except for data files hosted on local servers provided by Data and Statistical Services (DSS). GlobalProtect can be used to access DSS data files.
The majority of the Library's electronic resources (databases, eBooks, eJournals, streaming media, etc.) are available to registered students, faculty, and staff when away from campus, including while abroad.
SonicWall VPNThe SonicWall VPN is available to provide off-campus access to e-resources that are unavailable without a VPN (e.g. MBC Archive and SnapGene).
